What is Hippo's mission?
Hippo is a seahorse with a mission: protect the fantastic ecosystems that he finds in his adventures through the Ocean. This mission is shared by the project and pretend to act in 3 different ways:
Conservation depends on the knowledge and commitment of society. Only with a well informed society and conscient of its natural values, we will be able to protect and preserve the natural ecosystems.

Conservation of marine ecosystems concerns us all, in Portugal or all over the world. With its global reach, Hippo pretends to be a companion for education and ocean literacy in different languages.
3. Ocean literacy promotion
Education is not only the valorisation of the person who learns, but also of the person who teaches. The dedication of environmental educators all over the world is fundamental for the preservation of marine ecosystems. For that, their work should be supported and taken into consideration, so they can keep fullfiling their important mission.
Hippo's Vision
Hippo, along with the project, pretends to be an important ocean literacy and environmental educator character among the world's youger population, promoting children's education and the conservation of marine ecosystems all over the planet. We want to increase the awareness and raise the concern about conservation in our lifes, making it part of our actions and daily behaviors.
